Theme:  Be an Agent of CHANGE!

Memory Verse:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD”(2Cor 3:18).

Beloved
Blessed new month of double grace in Jesus Name. October is a month of full blessing. This very month, may the word HALLELUJAH, never depart from your heart and from your mouth.

May the grace of God in our Lord Jesus Christ locate you this month in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Beloved, you did not become a Christian by your own strength. You did not go into a divine partnership with God in Christ Jesus, so as to continue living an ordinary life. You became a Christian so as to be an agent of CHANGE . I have heard some preachers use such phrase as ‘ordinary Christians’, perhaps to separate such Christians from the ‘extra-ordinary Christians’. The true is that anyone that has been truly recreated in Christ Jesus, can not live an ordinary life. Everything about God in Christ is extra-ordinary. To think and act otherwise can only be due to spiritual ignorance. Our common enemy, the devil often uses the instruments of fear and doubt to keep many Christians away from discovering and working out their destinies.

Jesus Christ, our greatest authority, our greatest mentor and role model was a great AGENT OF CHANGE when He was on earth. He brought many deep changes into the world, the most notable being the NEW TESTAMENT, which is the Holy Bible from the book of Matthew to the book of Revelation. The changes He brought have been so profound that chronological speaking, world events can only be accurately placed by making reference to Him (BC or AD).  More importantly, He brought us GRACE and TRUTH. Indeed, the gospel says: “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

Jesus Christ Himself as divine as He was right from birth, He still needed to be anointed(empowerment) by God the Father to enable Him brings about positive changes on earth. The Scripture tells us of: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”(Acts 10:38). Jesus Christ Himself assured us of the same empowerment in Acts 1:8. He promised that He will never leave us alone prior to departing this world:
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you”(John 16:7

Unfortunately, many children of God within the body Christ (the Church), lack full understanding of the role of the Holy Spirit, the number three person in the Trinity, with regard to anointing or empowerment.  Without, this empowerment, Christianity will be extremely difficult. Such Christians will be fearful and fruitless in the kingdom.

Beloved, the word of God educates us that God is a Spirit(John 4:24). God is not a natural being. Everything about God in Christ Jesus is supernatural. God can speak anything into being. Indeed, the very first word that God ever spoken was to speak light out of darkness in Genesis 1:3.   I truly love the theme of the recent Redeemed Christians Church of God, youths’ convention held at the redemption camp, Nigeria: “Carrier of his glory”. Every true Christian is a carrier of God’s glory. Indeed, God created everyone called by his name for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). However, ignorance and lack of knowledge can deny many believers of full awareness of ‘what they carry’.

As a Christian, carrying God’s glory in Christ Jesus, you are an agent of change irrespective of your age, job or position. How can you carry the glory of God, embodied in His  love, joy, peace, power, dominion, light etc and you are not noticed in your place of work, ministry, organisation or community.

I often find it difficult to understand why believers are reluctant to ‘share’ JESUS with others. I suspect that fear, doubt and feelings of embarrassment are at the root of it.
Jesus himself said no right thinking person hide his candle light:
“No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light (Luke 8:16).

The empowerment by the Holy Spirit is not without boldness and courage. He has given you power to move mountains:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you
(Luke 10:19).

As a Christian, if you have not been baptised in the Holy Spirit, cry into God to have mercy on you day and night.   There is truly no phrase like an ‘ordinary Christians’. It is either you are a Christian or you are not.

Brethren, ye are the light of the world(Matthew 5:14). According to our memory verse, as you keep your focus on Jesus, you wear His glory. Henceforth, do no longer compromise with darkness. Let your light so shine that men will see your good work (Matthew 5:16).

Arise and shine. Shine your light for others to see. Let others daily see the patience, sincerity faithfulness, honesty, diligence and integrity of Jesus Christ in you.

To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God, with total fear of God. Train yourself yourself to be godly…(Tim 4:7-8, NIV). Learn to meditate on the word of God day and night ( Joshua 1:8). The word of God is fire( Jeremiah 23:29).

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive the grace to be a positive agent of change in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
