Beloved,
Let your FOCUS be on Jesus this week, more than ever before.
Put your trust in the God of our Lord Jesus Christ alone, and not in flesh.
The Word says woe is he who trust in flesh (Jer 17:5). Many at times our focus on Jesus is distracted. Distractions may take so many forms and shapes. It may take the form of ignorance, laziness, doubt, uncertainty, anger, bitterness etc. Anything in your life that takes your time more than the word of God is a form of idol, the aim is to distract you from achieving your divine destiny. You must arise against it!
If you have been called and chosen into the ministry of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, your mandate is to meditate on the words of God day and night. This was the mandate of Jesus Himself(The only weapon He used to defeat the devil was: “It is written”, Matt 4:1-11). To be prosperous, Joshua was given this mandate when he was called:
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
Jesus Himself warned us:
“No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).
Refuse to be distracted. Remember Martha was distracted without knowing but the Word of God Himself corrected her (Luke 10:40-42). As you go through life this week, receive increasing GRACE to keep your focus on JESUS in that name that is above every other name. Amen.
Jesus Christ being the Word says: “I can of mine own self do nothing…”(John 5:30). Truly, God Himself can do nothing without His words. “He send his words and heal them…(Psalm 107:20). Truly, we can do nothing without the words of God. The Word says: “without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5c). Let’s keep our focus on Jesus, the Word of God.
