Improving Our Spiritual Understanding.
Theme: Put on the Full Armour.
Memory Verse: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesian 6:11).
Beloved, Once more I wish you a Spirit-filled month of GRACE. Jesus Christ is the fullness of grace & truth ( Jn 1:14),
This week, the Lord is reminding us that many people in the body of Christ do NOT put on the whole armour of God. We “go to Church”, we fellowship, we praise God, we pray & fast but many are not putting on the whole armour of God, hence making themselves vulnerable to the destructive power of the devil, whose sole purpose is to kill & destroy ( John 10:10). The Lord lists these full Armour in Ephesian 6:14:18 to include:
Girt your loins with TRUTH (verse 14); embrace the truth and be set free(John 8:32);
Wear the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS (verse 14); remember in righteousness you are free from oppression (Isaiah 54:14);
Have your feet shod with the preparation of gospel of PEACE (verse 15);
Above all, taking the shield of FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (verse 16);
And take the helmet of SALVATION, and the SWORD of the Spirit, which is the word of God (verse 17);
PRAYING always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints ( Verse 18).
Brethren, as you go about serving the Lord, do everything possible to EMBRACE truth, righteousness, peace and hold into your salvation in faith; praying always in the Spirit, hold firm to the word of God which is the sword of the Spirit; by so doing you will keep the thief away from stealing your joy.
Have high expectations this month of May. It shall be well with you in Jesus name.
