THE APPROVED PLACE
MEMORY VERSE: But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Obadiah 1:17.
Beloved, where we are, determines what we are doing; and what people believe us to be. God has an approved place for His children, hence, the bible wouldn’t have said, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psa.91:1). God is Omnipresent (everywhere) but, He does not perform His wonder everywhere.
In Mount Zion, people encounter uninterrupted Deliverance, Holiness and Possessions. This Mount Zion talks about where two or three are gathered together in His name (Matt.18:20). Each time there is a gathering discussing the word of God; that place is approved of God, and He must surely do what He talks about in the book of Obadiah.
Where there is an expression of His Spirit, it fosters heavenly manifestation. “Now the Lord is that spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2Cor. 3:17).
An approved place of God is known by the working of His Spirit. God’s Spirit brings liberty; in other word, affliction rules where the Spirit of God is absent: hence, our Lord Jesus would not have said, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him” (John 4:23). True believers must be Spirit filled and tongue empowered. “Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and trouble the water: Whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had” (John 5:2-4).
God approved this place (pool of Bethesda) for divine healing. But, the water remained natural without the troubling of the water by the angel. An when the angel comes troubling the water, it becomes supernatural automatically, and produce all manner of healing because it was approved of God.
Apostle Paul by the Spirit of God has this to say; “For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans. 8:14).
To become sons and daughters of the most High God, we must be led by the Spirit of God: without which true salvation is not guaranteed. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting” (Acts.2:1-2). Disciples were at the approved place, and then the Spirit of God as was promised came upon them.
Believers need to be conscious of the environment they find themselves in other to be free from worldly pollution.
May God grant His Children divine guidance into His approved place in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
