Theme: The New Anointing!
Memory Verse:
” Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God,
even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy
fellows”(Heb 1:9).
Beloved
We pray that the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself
will anoint you afresh to make you increasingly fruitful and
productive in the Kingdom. Amen.
Anointing is a spiritual empowerment of a believer by the Holy Spirit
to enable him or her do exploits here on earth for the kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ as divine as He was from the beginning and as a high
priest Himself needed to be anointed. Acts 10:38 tells us of:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with
power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed
of the devil; for God was with him”.
Anointing or Holy Spirit EMPOWERMENT is for good works, not for evil.
Our theme for this week, “The New Anointing”, suggests there is old
anointing. The NEW anointing is the empowerment that can only come
from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is the Great Deliverer! He
is the Greatest Problems Solver! He is the Great Physician! He has
never lost a battle. He can never loose a battle. No matter what you
are going through He says:” I will never leave thee, nor forsake
thee”(Heb 13:5). All you need to do is to cleave unto Him.
What is peculiar to the new anointing ? The New Anointing is
aggressive , explosive, violent, dynamic, uncompromising, intolerant
of nonsense, and capable of breaking fallow grounds. For example, when
Jesus got to the tomb of Lazarus where he has been buried for four
days, with the new anointing in Him, after thanking His Father, Jesus
simply cried with a loud voice: “..Lazarus, come forth. And he that
was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes…”(John
11:43-44).
Many believers in the body of Christ are going through hell here on
earth because of ignorance. Every believer must urgently desire the
new anointing. If you take Apostle Peter as an example, before his new
anointing in Christ Jesus, he was very fearful and even denied Jesus
thrice despite having been warned by the Lord Himself. But following
his anointing at the Pentecost, Peter was a totally different person
so much so that everyone noticed the difference:
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that
they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took
knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13),
All believers are promised anointing to empower them for hard work in
the kingdom (Acts 1:8)
A major benefit of anointing is to destroy yoke (Isaiah 10:27), in
yourself and others. With the new anointing of Jesus in your live, we
command every yoke in your life to be destroyed in Jesus name. The
yoke of poverty; the yoke of ignorance; the yoke of frustration; the
yoke of stagnation; the yoke of uncertainty; the yoke of doubt ; the
yoke of sickness; the yoke of fear etc, be destroyed in Jesus name.
Please, note the requirements for the new anointing , as per our
memory verse- love righteousness and hate iniquities.
The book of Daniel says: “…but the people that do know their God
shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
We bless God in Christ for faithfully bringing us to the end of the
month of June 2015.
