Beloved
We bless God in Christ for the truth of His word. There is power and boldness in the word of God.
Brethren, the moment you gave your life to Jesus Christ , you immediately undergo spiritual transformation. You become a member of the army of Christ. You are no longer a civilian. There is the need for you to have increasing spiritual understanding if you want to remain victorious. For example, there is no alternative to putting on the full armour of God (Ephesians 6:13-18).
I understand there Christians who are ashamed of holding the Bible about. Are you ashamed of the word of God? The word of God is the power of God. The word of God is the sword of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). You need him to be victorious. Unfortunately, some Christians only pay attention to the word of God on Sundays when they ‘go to church’. Like Apostle Paul in our memory verse, Bro Ben is not ashamed of the gospel of GRACE. In fact Bro Ben is a fanatic for the Word of God. He is desperate to know more about Jesus Christ. If you are close to Bro Ben and you are not passionate for the Word, you will find him very boring.
Beloved , believe me, without spiritual knowledge and understanding , a Christian is walking in darkness, despite having accepted Christ. Christianity is a warfare. Do not be a lukewarm Christian. Apostle Paul admonished his son Timothy to ‘fight a good warfare’ (1Tim 1:18).
Many people of God are destroyed because they lack knowledge ( Hosea 4:6). That will never be your portion in Jesus name. Amen.
Receive increasing grace to develop passion for the word of God in Jesus name. Amen.
To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
Prayer: There is someone reading this message, henceforth, may you never be ashamed of the gospel of Christ in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
