Theme:  Standing on the right side!

Memory Verse:

“Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven” Math. 26:64

Beloved,

How are you standing with God? How do people of the world see you, as a believer?

Are you standing right with God or you are careless in your relationship with Him? In the scripture above, we see how our Lord Jesus Christ addressed the Chief Priest, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power”. Right hand is the hand of power. “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake” (Lk.5:4-6).

Every word we see in the bible is right. Peter toiled for all night because the word did not come: but at the instance of the word of God (Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a drought): all the fishes in the lake reported in that very deep according to His word. If things must go right in our lives, we must ensure we go or stand right with His word. “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Prov.14:34). Unrighteousness certainly will bring down a nation. A nation or person that practise bribery, corruption, nepotism, tribalism and cannot maintain godly standard will definitely fall. “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death” (IJn.5:17). Our stand with God can be affected through the behavioural pattern, speech, thought conception, relationship with others, integrity and transparency. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Heb.13:8). Our righteous Lord and saviour Jesus Christ should be the perfect example for as many that want to stand on the right side of power in God. Our Lord Jesus was so unique that, in the morning, noon time and evening was found the same. Unlike today, that we see so much adulteration and compromise in the body of Christ.

“Now the Chief Priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses” (Matt. 26:59-60). Darkness cannot overcome light; no matter what happen, light must prevail. To stand on the right side of power, an excellent Spirit must be inculcated. “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent Spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Dan.6:3).

Excellence emanates from discipline, integrity, transparency and righteousness in Christ Jesus. “If ye be risen with Christ seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God” (Col.3:1). To stand on the right side, we also need to seek heavenly things and its righteousness (Mathew 6:33), without which we cannot be qualified. Don’t hesitate to choose the right side of God: when you try it, you will be far above oppression in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
