Merry Christmas and a spiritually prosperous 2015. May your Christmas and new year celebration be Spirit-filled in Jesus Name.
Father, we bless your holy name. We adore you. We worship you. We honour you. There is none like you in goodness, holiness & mercy. We thank you for your love. We thank you for life. We thank you for your faithfulness. We thank you for your mercy that has preserved us and kept us from being consumed. We thank you for guiding us from January all through the 12 months to the end of December. We thank you in advance for 2015, because we know your light will shine powerfully all through the new year by your grace. Father, accept our thanks in Jesus Precious Name. Amen.
Brethren, the Lord wants us to have more understanding of light as we prepare to start the new year of grace, 2015. He wants us to enjoy abundance of light. If you are truly born again in Christ Jesus, you have no business with darkness and agents of darkness. Darkness is the opposite of light, just as death is the opposite of life. Sickness, disease, fear, doubt, poverty, sorrow, frustration etc are agents of darkness and death. They are agents of the thief whose sole aim is to steal, kill and to destroy . If you are a child of God, you need spiritual understanding to overcome them so as to enjoy life abundantly ( John 10:10).
In the very beginning, the very first words God spoke was to command light to come out of darkness, as per our memory verse ( Genesis 1:3). Prior to this, the earth was void, deformed and in absolute darkness.
In the physical realm, without light we are helpless. There is not much we can do in utter darkness. It is the same in the spirit realm. There can be no light without FIRE. In the spirit realm, the fire is in the word of God ( Jeremiah 23:29). Sometimes, there is light but not bright enough, because the fire is not burning adequately. When Jesus was on earth, He introduced himself as the light of the word:
” I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” ( John 8:12). By His annointing, those who truly follow Jesus are light of the world ( Matt 5:14). Jesus was conscious of the fact there are levels of light, hence He admonished us:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” ( Matt 5:16).
The scripture enables us to know that the word of God is light ( Psalm 119:130; Psalm 119:105). Apostle John in introducing Jesus as the Word of God at the beginning of his gospel stated:”In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4).
The understanding we need to have as true born again Christians is that in the Word of God ( Jesus), there is no darkness at all:
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” ( 1 John 1:5). If only our spiritual eyes were opened to see the agents of darkness sitting next to us, with ulterior motive, in most of the fellowship programmes, we attend, we would be a lot more careful with our words and actions. Believe me, I stand on the authority of the word of God, there are many agents of darkness in the church. Unfortunately, many are not exposed because of lack of fire, in other words, the light is not shining enough.
The book of revelation tells us that there is no darkness whatsoever in heaven:
“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” ( Rev 21:23).
Truly, in Christ Jesus, God is going to be particularly gracious to us in 2015 but you need knowledge to enjoy abundance of grace.
As God is guiding you into the year of our Lord 2015, please be mindful of who you associate with. Be mindful of who lays hand on your head. Never forget, just as Satan is very deceptive, there are many deceptive ministers of God around you. Apostle Paul warns us:
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)
Ask God for the spirit of discernment. Learn to spend time with the Lord and to communicate with Him personally.

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God his righteousness”..Matt 6:33). We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His holy name (Psalm 46:10).
One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).
