Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Theme: Be Fruitful in the Kingdom.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit”(John 15:1-2).

Beloved
We joyfully welcome you to a new week of fruitfulness in the Kingdom of Light. In Christ Jesus, may the good LORD give us the grace of humility and complete obedience to His word as we divinely walk with Him in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Beloved, you have been redeemed to be fruitful in the kingdom of God. When God created man in the very beginning, He commanded man: “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”(Gen 1:28). Many people have mis-interpreted this to mean only physical fruitfulness (child bearing). In addition to child bearing, no doubt God meant even a higher level of fruitfulness: mental and spiritual. Can you imagine the entire earth being filled with men and women who have not developed mentally and spiritually? How would they be able to have dominion over all living creatures and to subdue it?

Brethren, no man can be fruitful spiritually without a sound knowledge
of the word of God. The bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the Word of God, and was with God in the beginning. The word of God is the sword of the Spirit( Ephesians 6:17). We need Him to be fruitful in the kingdom. Having be redeemed, you now belong to the army of heaven and our Lord Jesus Christ is our Captain. Our memory verses say we are a branch of Jesus; without fruitfulness, the Father Himself cuts down the branch.

What do we need to do in order to be fruitful? In addition to praying and studying the word of God, we are to win souls and spread the GOOD NEWS gospel. We can win souls through faithfully preaching, teaching, and sending extracts of the word of God to others through sms, emails, letter writing and other electronic means. A dumb person can minister the gospel. The word of God does unimaginable works. Our responsibility is to allow God to send His word through us:
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).

One way we can continually send the word to others through our speech is to learn to allow the word of God dwell in our hearts. This is biblical :
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”(Col 3:16).

Beloved, learn to value the word of God above every other thing in this word if you desire to be spiritually fruitful. Whatever you value and cherish, you will spend time with. When you spend time with the Word, you will experience the FIRE of the Holy Spirit. At that stage, truly no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper ( Isaiah 54:17). You need to be aggressive with the word of God. You need to be aggressive and violent with the works of God( Matthew 11:12).

Spiritual ignorance is still flourishing in the body of Christ. The LORD is appealing to us and encouraging us to daily enhance our spiritual understanding , in order to stay away from destruction( Hosea 4:6).

One major reason why the weapons of the devil and his agents are prospering in the lives of many Christians today is because of incomplete obedience of the word of God. Incomplete or partial obedience is dangerous.

Recently, I was communicating with a Christian sister that the Lord linked up with me for a few months now, through the MOW. Efforts to encourage her to learn to communicate with the word of God has not yielded much success . Her exact words to me recently :

“I have been using and studying the word of God everyday brother Ben”.

Clearly, she is yet to understand the point I have been making, which is for her to learn to communicate with the word, speak the word and prayerfully send the word to others in faith.

The Centurion demonstrated extra-ordinary understanding of the power of the word of Jesus. Hear him:
“I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed”(Matthew 8:8).

He has chosen you to go into the world and bear fruit( John 15:16), but you need His word .

Praying and studying the Bible is good, but it is not enough. Learn to communicate with the word of God( Eph 5:19). Learn to fill your spirit, soul and body with the word of God ( Col 3:16). You are the epistle that people around you should read. More importantly learn to send the word of God to others( Psalm 107:20).

We need this spiritual understanding to live above challenges:
“The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live” (Psalm 119:144).

To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God, with total fear of God. Train yourself yourself to be godly…(Tim 4:7-8, NIV)
 The Fire you need to burn the feathers of witches and wizards is in the word( Jeremiah 23:29).
Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive the grace to be fruitful mentally and spiritually in the kingdom of light in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I confess all my sins to you right now. Please forgive my sins and give me the  gift and joy of eternal life. I ask you to come into my heart and life right now and be my Lord and Saviour. Lord, please write my name in the book  of Life.  I promise to sincerely surrender ALL to you and serve you diligently always from now on, in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen”. Congratulations! You are now spiritually regenerated and “born again” in Christ Jesus. We would encourage you to join any Word based Church of your choice. Please, be prayerful in choosing one. We would recommend the nearest branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33).
 We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).
One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).
