Theme:
Do You Have Integrity?

Memory Verse:
“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause”( Job 2:3).

Beloved,
What is God’s testimony about you? In Christ, would God declare that you are upright, God fearing, and has integrity on the surface of the earth, as he said of Job? Do you maintain integrity in your dealings with others?

What is integrity? The free web dictionary explains integrity as:
“The quality of being honest and having strong ethical and moral principles”. Synonyms of integrity are given as: honesty, uprightness, probity, rectitude and honour. The free web Encyclopaedia  explains it this way: “Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and morals”.  Consistency is a key word here. Our thoughts, words and actions should  consistently be in agreement. In other words, we do what we say, and say what we do, consistently and in a positive way. This writer believes integrity is a spirit and has to do with our character, attitude, knowledge and spiritual understanding.

Maintaining integrity is a matter of choice. Some people may argue that everyone has some measure of integrity in his or her own way. Can this be true? It may be a fact that there are levels of integrity, in the sense that even non believer in God in Christ Jesus, could maintain a certain level of integrity within the power and limits of the human spirit.

However,  in Christ, God expects absolute integrity from his children. While on earth, Jesus operated with the highest level of integrity. He was totally honest, transparent, sincere and faithful in His interactions with people. The word God is an embodiment of the the highest moral or ethical codes,  having been purified seven times according to the Psalmist: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times”( Psalm 12:6).

Unfortunately, what do you find today in our societies, even within the body of Christ ( the Church)? All sorts of improprieties are observed, including insincerity, pretence, deceit, hypocrisy, dishonesty, cheating, unfaithfulness, fraud,  injustice, seduction, manipulation etc.  In most societies today, people will do anything to make money, or get a high position, including killing  a fellow human being.

Brethren, to what extent are you incorruptible? How uncompromising are you  in standing for truth, honesty, perfection etc. Are you a defender of the truth? If you are a believer in Christ, do you walk with God in perfection? Would you be ready to die in defence of the truth, honesty and integrity? This writer has interacted with many people within the body of Christ, who lack sincerity and transparency in their thoughts, words and actions. Many of them feel uncomfortable when they are challenged.

 The word of God says:

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars(2 Chronicle 16:9).

There are no half measures. It is either you have integrity or you do not have.

When God called Abraham, he was told: “walk before me, and be thou perfect “( Gen 17:1). Indeed, Abraham was a man of integrity, and was ready to sacrifice his son(Isaac), in obedience to God’s voice (Gen 22:10).

God could confidently boast of Job in our memory verse because He knew Job’s heart very well. Even when his wife discouraged him following his numerous loses:
“Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die” (Job 2:9). Job was uncompromising. Hear him:

“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him”( Job 13:15).

The book of Proverbs says:
“Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool” (Prov 19:1).

Beloved, maintaining integrity is indeed a matter of choice. It is choosing to side with God in truth, honesty and sincerity to the shame of the devil. The benefits of integrity are unimaginable. Choose today to live a life of holiness, purity,  righteousness, sincerity, honesty, transparency, truth etc. Start by meditating and hiding the word of God in your heart ( Psalm 119:11).

Never forget, your integrity overflows to your children, and children’s children.
“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him” ( Prov 20:7).

Your integrity would  guide you and preserve you from destruction:
“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them”(Prov 11:3).

Receive increasing spiritual understanding in Jesus name.  Amen.

PRAYER: There is a reader of this message, receive the grace to develop and maintain integrity in Jesus  mighty name. Amen.

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33). We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).

One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).

Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name.
