Freedom from What?

Theme:  Freedom from What?
Memory Verses:
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
Beloved
Your season of complete deliverance and total freedom has come, in Jesus mighty name, provided you are willing and obedient.
One area that I have observed much spiritual ignorance amongst believers is the subject of total freedom. John 8:32 says:  “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Our memory verse says only the Son (Jesus ) can make us free indeed.
Many believers will readily argue that they are not in any form of bondage.  Indeed, it was the same ignorant  views by those who were with Jesus over two thousand years ago: “They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?(John 8:33).
Some people may ask the relevant question: free from what? Believe you  me, there are too many things to be free from, perhaps , too numerous to mention. Our Lord Jesus says: ” for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me”(John 14:30b).  So, who is the prince of the world? I am sure you will all agree that he is the devil. Yet, many church goers who claimed to be children of God are eager to conform to this world pattern, knowingly or unknowingly.
A man of God while preaching a while ago, explained to the congregation, and I quote him: “sin has the capacity to put you at the same level”. To me the first level of freedom is freedom from sin, visible and invisible , tangible and intangible. Have you been struggling for months or years, but you are unable to make noticeable progress with your life? Examine yourself whether you are in good standing with God or not. Have you struggled with some health conditions, physical or mental  for months or years and it seems as if God is not answering? Examine yourself sincerely. My observation is that many believers are not sincere, honest, open and transparent in their thoughts, words and actions.
If you are willing and are obedient, this season , you are going to be FREE from everything that will not glorify God in your life. You are going to be free from sickness, disease, doubt, fear, ignorance, frustration, poverty, barrenness and untimely death. Amen.
There are levels of freedom, just as there are levels of bondage: physical bondage; mental bondage and spiritual bondage. Of these three, physical bondage is the easiest to understand. One can be imprisoned by a physical disorder or mental disorder. On the other hand, one can be in a physical prison but spiritually free, through a personal experience with the Word of God (Jesus).
Beloved , spiritual imprisonment is a terrible disease, unfortunately, many true believers are ignorant of this ( Hosea 4:6).
According to the bible the word of God is absolutely free and pure, having been tried:
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times (Psalm 12:6).
Recently, I ran into a sister that we had served together in the Nigerian Navy. Without my preaching to her, she asked me: are you a pastor? I responded that I go about promoting the word of God everywhere I go. I later asked her: was Jesus a pastor?  I think we often shift our focus from the word of God to many extraneous things like title, rank, position or even organisation.
Do you want to be free indeed? Then, embrace the word of God. The word of God is the truth. The word of God is life. He is the only one who can make you free indeed.
Beloved, if you are sufficiently close to God in Christ Jesus and you daily worship Him in spirit and in truth, forget about demons, evil forces or diseases. The name of JESUS is above all. He is the Lord of all. The only true God:
“One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all”(Ephesian 4:5-6).
To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God, with total fear of God. Train yourself yourself to be godly…(Tim 4:7-8, NIV). Learn to meditate on the word of God day and night ( Joshua 1:8).
Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive freedom indeed from the Word of God in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
