Know Who You Are in Christ! – by Pastor Raphael

*Text*: Matthew 4:3-4

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:3-4 KJV

When we go through a season of wilderness, trials, pain, and challenges in life, it is expected that the enemy will come and tempt us on all sides! God allows such situations to be opportunities for growth—strengthening our identity and faith in Christ and pushing us to walk in our God-given authority, through Christ, over every trial and temptation!

Beloved, as the opening scripture shows, the enemy came to test Jesus’ knowledge of His identity as the Son of God. But Jesus knew the Scriptures, and the enemy couldn’t deceive Him! It is crucial for us to continually renew our minds with God’s Word, which serves as our mirror (James 1:22-23). The more we know God’s Word and who we are in Christ, the less the enemy can deceive us!

Abba Father, thank You for being with me always, whether in a joyful season, a sorrowful season, or a difficult season. You are always there, guiding me and reminding me of Your Word through the Holy Spirit. I have the victory of Christ, and the enemy can never outwit me because Your Spirit and Word live in me in Jesus’ name! Amen.
