THE WORD OF GOD MINISTRY

Theme: Loving By the Word-by sister Abigail Omar.

Memory verse
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” ( Joshua 1:8).

Beloved,
I have come to accept that it is not easy to have God’s kind of love. Sometimes, I realize that I am struggling to love people or have deep affection for particular persons in my life; A friend, roomate or some people close to me , especially those who might have dissapionted me, then it dropped in my heart that only getting into God’s word and asking him for strength and grace to love as He loves us; that is when I can overcome the challenges. The Word says:
“We love him, because he first loved us” (1John 4:19).

I found out that when I am irritable, I know that I have been lacking in the word of God. I tell myself, “Abby you have to get back into the word of God”. I have to get back into meditating on the word of God ( Joshua 1:8), not just scanning the bible . I realized that seeing things from God’s perspective makes me feel better when the odd feeling comes. I begin to appreciate that focusing on God’s word makes me understand who I am. I believe what Pastor Nike Adeyemi said in her book: “The Word of God is like a mirrior”; just that many atimes, we don’t look at it sufficiently enough. The Word of God changes us from one level of glory to another, according to apostle Paul in his epistle to the Corinthians (2Corinthins 3:18).

Only the word of God can enable a man to have God’s kind of love.

Prayer Verse
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” (1John 3:1).

Dear Father, please give me the grace to have your kind of love in Jesus name. Amen
