Improving our Spiritual Understanding
Theme: The Grace of God.

Beloved
Let’s continue to praise the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Let’s honour Him that lives for ever. Let’s worship him. Let’s magnify him. Let’s appreciate the great deliverer. Let’s appreciate the great shepherd. The one thirsted so that we will be filled. The One who became poor that we may be rich. He is our joy, our peace, our hope, our confidence, our perfection, our excellence, our all in all. In him we live and move and have being. He is the grace of God. Let’s us honour him. Let’s thank Him. Let’s adore him. let’s worship Him. Father, accept our worship in Jesus precious name.
This season the Lord is asking us to increase our understanding of GRACE. The phrase ” the grace of God”, is a commonly used phrase, especially within the church. But do we have full understanding of it? What exactly is grace. In Christianity, grace is often defined as ‘unmerited favour’. A good example of the grace of God, is that God sent Jesus to die for us while we were yet sinners, in order to redeem us, save our souls and reconnect us to God.
However, it is good to know that spiritually speaking, GRACE just like TRUTH, is the spiritual person of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is the grace of God to humanity. He is the embodiment of grace. If you remove Jesus Christ, there is no Grace and no Truth. The word of God says:
“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ”‘ ( John 1:17). Indeed, verse 14 says when Jesus came in the flesh, he was ” full of grace and truth”.
How much do you value, fear, honour and esteem the grace of God? Sadly, I have observed one thing within the body of Christ. That is that those who say they are children of God, tend to toy with sin. It is true that the word of God says:,”But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”(Romans 5:20b). But our memory verses ask a vital question and provided an immediate answer:
“Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?God forbid”, is the response. Sin is basically, disobedience to the word of God. Sin is from our thoughts and hearts (Mark 7:21-23), we should learn to deal with it.
My understanding is that there are too many fake “born again” children of God in the church today. Many have frustrated the grace of God. A true born again child of God can not toy with sin:
“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not”(1John 5:18).
Brethren, sin is a destroyer. Sin has a great capacity to keep us at the same level. As a child of God, if you are stagnant and finds it difficult to make progress in life, be honest to carry out a self-appraisal. In Christ, God is eager to bless us, but he cannot bless a sinner. He says in his book, those ” who honour me I will honour” (1 Sam 2:30). Our God is in the heavens. He want to draw you higher and higher according to His word but you have to please him first by lifting Him up:
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me”( John 12:32)
True, our salvation is by grace lone:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”( Eph 2:8).
Also true, our righteous is not from obeying the law:
“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain “(Gal 2:21).
But our God is righteous. Holiness is His nature. His eyes are too pure to behold iniquities. He is a Spirit. He wants to dwell in you if only you will “present your body a living sacrifice” ( Romans 12:1). The Word asks:
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1Cor 3:16). Please, do not frustrate the Holy Spirit of God in your thoughts, words and actions.
Sin of any kind is from the devil. The grace of God loves sinners but he hates sin with a passion:
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” ( 1 John 3:8-9)
Jesus Christ is our grace. He is a Spirit (1Cor 3:17..). He dwells in us. Let’s honour him by obying His word. He is the Word of God.
Do not be bothered how things are at the moment. If the grace of God (Jesus) is upon your life, He can turn things around in ways that no human being can imagine (1 Cor 2:9). Your responsibility is to make up your mind to walk before Him in perfection. He can turn ridicule into miracle. If you have no qualification, the grace of God can qualify you and beautify you.
Many people spend their life time struggling to be rich materially instead of making efforts to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matt 6:33). Unfortunately, some people end up getting wealth from agents of darkness, which carries price of sorrow. Without righteousness, wealth means nothing. The Word of God says :
“Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness”
(Proverbs 8:18 ).
When the grace of God blesses anyone with His wealth in righteousness, there is no sorrow added to it ( Proverbs 10:22).
If you are truly a born again child of God, walking with the Lord in righteousness and perfection, then material prosperity is your heritage:
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Cor 8:9).
The WILL of the grace of God for you is to enjoy all round prosperity. However, if you do not deal with sin in your life, riches and honour may not be yours. He says: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”(3 John 2).
Receive the grace to deal with sins in your life in Jesus mighty name.
To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God.

The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God his righteousness”..Matt 6:33). We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His holy name (Psalm 46:10).
One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).
