Word for Today: Be ye therefore Perfect as Jesus Christ is Perfect.

Word for Today: Be ye therefore Perfect as Jesus Christ is Perfect.

Ministry Of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality(TS)

Memory verse:
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48 )

Dearly Beloved
We salute everyone especially the family of our perfect God.

One of the biggest problems in the body of Christ (the Church ) today is that many Christians lack the concept of perfection. In our memory verse, Jesus Christ (the only perfect man that ever lived on earth) would not be telling His followers to be perfect if perfection was not possible with man. It’s SIN that has separated man from God ( Isaiah 59:1-2).

A major hindrance to human perfection is that many ‘born again’ Christians are not sanctified. The word of God sanctifies. The more of the word of God you sincerely have in your heart and in your spirit, the more sanctified you are. To be sanctified simply means to be thoroughly washed, cleaned up, be purified, be refined, be consecrated , set apart and declared holy. Only the truth in the word of God can truly sanctify a man. One single silly mistake is enough to kill a person.
We are serving a perfect God.

God is the only authentic platform for man’s perfection on earth. Truly, no one can be perfect by his own strength. Cleaving to God in oneness is very vital to attaining perfection on earth. This is God’s plan for his children. In the words of Prophet Jeremiah: “For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear” (Jeremiah 13:11). Please, let us hear HIM.

It’s good to know that oneness with God does not come without a price. The Scripture says Jesus himself  learnt  obedience by what he suffered, and was made perfect. The Word says: “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him” (Hebrews 5:8-9). The challenges we go through in life are what God uses to transform us if we maintain the right focus, and faint not. God uses our life challenges to bring us to perfection.

Jesus enjoyed absolute oneness with his Father. He was able to say: “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). Please note that, oneness does not necessarily connote equality, but  UNITY and POWER (this is a very common error of thinking even by big title holders in the Church). In the same book of John, in humility, Jesus was able to add: “for my Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). If Jesus was one with his Father, we can also be one with God the Father through Christ Jesus. This is a glorious oneness that Jesus extended to all true believers out of love. He says:  “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:22-23). Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Beloved, today being symbolic of perfection, let us cleave to God in Christ in a quality relationship, praise, worship and meditation on his words, and as we do, may God arise for us in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Please ensure you walk with Him in righteousness, holiness and purity in the words of God. His name is Holy. He is the only spiritual ally you can trust hundred percent. Diligent practice of the words of God brings holiness, the exact nature of God. He does not compromise on holiness. The Word says:  Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Habakkuk 1:13).

To have increasing spiritual knowledge, requires total fear of God, and  spiritual training in the word of God: ”Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).
