Theme: Be Transformed by the Word!
Memory Verse: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Rm 12: 2).
Beloved
Let us thank for God the transforming power of His word. God is eager to transform us to the image of his first born Son, Jesus Christ. The Scripture says: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (Rm 8:29).
Brethren, no one can become the son of God by his own strength. We are empowered by the Holy Ghost. The only thing required of us is FAITH. Hence, the Scripture says:But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). Jesus Christ, himself enables us to know that no one can receive him (ie believe him or have faith in him), unless his Father draws that person:No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44).
My beloved brethren, our memory verse above says in Christ, God is eager to transform us to the image of Christ. God does not want us to conform to the pattern and principles of this word. The spirit behind the principles of this world is anti-Christ spirit.
Believe me, the main reason why many people have challenges believing (have faith) in everything the word of God says, is because they have not bothered to read the word of God; hear the word of God, study the word of God etc. We cannot believe what we know nothing about. Hence, the Word says:So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rm 10:17). Based on ignorance, some believers within the body of Christ (the Church), only believe in some aspects of the word of God, and finds it difficult to believe everything in the bible. The end result of this is destruction, despite being in the Church (Hosea 4:6).
The plan of God in our lives is to transform us to the image and likeness of his first born Son, Jesus Christ. Hence brother Paul says: For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (Rm 8:19).
In the course of my practice as a psychiatrist, I have seen very many people go through unnecessary torment, bondage, oppressions, diseases, sickness, fear etc. The word of Proverbs says it is not good for the soul to be without knowledge: Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth (Prov 19:2).
The Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, is the most powerful spirit in heaven, earth, and underneath the earth. Having the understanding and obediently surrendering our human spirit to the Lordship of the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus will guarantee us joy, peace, harmony, divine health, and freedom indeed(John 8:36). This is the truth of the gospel. It is not merely about regularly ”going to Church” in the superficial sense. It is about allowing yourself to be transformed personally, by the power in the word of God.
That God created man in his image and likeness (Gen 1:27) is a measure of great love. That God made arrangement for man to be reconciled to him in Christ Jesus, after his failure in the Garden of Eden, is a measure of unimaginable love. I love the way Apostle John puts it:Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not (1John 3:1)
The Lord has spoken repeated to my spirit that he wants his children to come closer to him. He wants us to come up higher. He says: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matt 11:28).
Be transformed by the renewal of your mind by the word of God!
To have increasing spiritual knowledge, requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: ”Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).
PRAYER: There is someone reading this message , may you receive the grace to be transformed by the power of God in Jesus, mighty name. Amen!
In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to seek first the kingdom of God & his righteousness(Matt 6:33). Righteousness exalts(Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from bondage, and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus is the Truth(John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers, using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will exalt his holy name (Psalm 46:10). One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge,(Isa 5:13). Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
