Do Whatsoever You Do as to the Lord.

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Theme: Do Whatsoever You Do as to the Lord.

Memory Verse:
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men”(Col 3:23).

Beloved
We bless God for the month of perfection. We bless the Almighty God for the perfection of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, our God is a God of perfection. Jesus says: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matt 5:48).

God is always at work. We are co-workers with Him: “We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain” (2Cor 6:1).
We must be diligent in our works. We must work in righteousness and purity. In your thoughts, words and deeds, you need to be conscious of who you are representing. You are never alone:
“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building”(1Cor 3:9).

I have met many people are in the Church who are not sensitive to their thoughts, feelings and action. Many of them have wrong thoughts, in the sense that their thoughts are contrary to His words. They speak the wrong words. They do the wrong thing. If you spend time with the Word long enough, He will direct you on the right path.

In the course of interactions with others, I hear people talk of secular and non secular jobs. I normally ask them just one question: What was the secular job of JESUS when he was on earth? Was it because of His high anointing that he did not have a secular job? While on earth, all that Jesus did was to go about doing good( Acts 10:38).

The Word says we are co-labourers with God in Christ. Our memory verse says we should learn to do every assignment given to us as to the Lord. We should stop being men pleasers. Earlier, Apostle admonished:
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him”(Col 3:17).

I still find it difficult to comprehend why many people in the body of Christ fail to understand that our God in Christ Jesus is a God of principle. God Himself is a hard worker( John 5:17). He expects His children to be hard working. Today, there are many young pastors who rush into full time ministry instead of continuing with the work they were doing before they were called into ministry. Apostle Paul, as anointed as he was, continued to be a TENTMAKER (Acts 18:3). God expects His ministers to be hard working :”But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings”(2 Cor 6:4-5).

The book of Proverbs says: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” (Prov 22:29). If you are ready and willing to work hard while preaching the gospel, you can NEVER lack.

We have to learn the principle of hard work in any assignment we find ourselves.  Some people are more conscientious  with their works when they are being watched or when when there is a great financial rewards attached. This ought not to be so. The Word of God says: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Eccles 9:10).

JESUS while on earth was always conscious of the SOURCE of His strength even when speaking, which was derived from His oneness to His Father.  Hear Him:
“Believes  thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works” (John 14:10).

To grow spiritually entails daily meditating in the word of God( Joshua 1:8). Have a blessed and fruitful week in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , may you receive the grace to be a co- worker with God in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

A Call To Salvation!

If you have read this message by chance, but  you are undecided or have no clarity whether you want to give your life to Christ. I would encourage you to give it a trial. Please, pray this prayer with us:

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I confess all my sins to you right now. Please forgive my sins and give me the  gift and joy of eternal life. I ask you to come into my heart and life right now and be my Lord and Saviour. Lord, please write my name in the book  of Life.  I promise to sincerely surrender ALL to you and serve you diligently always from now on, in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen”. Congratulations! You are now spiritually regenerated and “born again” in Christ Jesus. We would encourage you to join any Word based Church of your choice. Please, be prayerful in choosing one. We would recommend the nearest branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33).
We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).

One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).

Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
