Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Theme: Goodness & Mercy may only follow those who practice Goodness & Mercy.

Memory Verse:

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever” ( Psalm 23:6).

Beloved

As we are getting ready to start a NEW month of total recovery by the special grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us praise God with all our hearts as we have never done before. Praise Him with your whole body. Praise Him with every substance of your soul. Praise Him with your entire spirit.

Spiritually speaking, the month of September stands for complete restoration and total recovery. Expect to recover everything the enemy has stolen from you in the new month in Jesus name. Amen. This is a promise from the Word of God: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you”(Joel 2:25).

What does the LORD expect from us? We are to practice goodness and mercy wherever we find ourselves. This is a fundamental Biblical principle that God Himself can never break. This is the law of harvest. Simply put, you reap what you sow.

Often times, you hear Christians merely reciting Psalm 23:6, as if they are in a Quranic school! Goodness and mercy will only follow those who daily practice goodness and mercy. Nothing happens if you merely say it, irrespective of the number of times you spend reciting Psalm 23:6. Practice what the Word says. Even in your prayer, let it be according to the will of God. Remember, the only prayer a sinner prays and can not reject is: LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME! Those who are merciful shall obtain mercy.

When God the Father anointed His first born Son, Jesus Christ, (He Jesus) went about doing good ( Acts 10:38). I am aware of many Christians who have not yet been baptised in the Holy Spirit. As we enter the month of mercy, favour and total recovery, please be on your knees; humble yourself, and ask God to baptise you(Matthew 7:7).

Truly, many aspects of effective Christian living is almost impossible without empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

When you watch the way many Christians think, speak, and behave with regard to doubt, unbelief, fear, anxiety, and anger , you cannot help but conclude that they are not better than unbelievers. They may spend eternity in heaven, but I am talking about their lives here on earth. Jesus says:

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”(John 10:10).

Practicing goodness and mercy daily, demands sincerity, openness, transparency, perseverance and courage.

Many of us get angry easily. I am able to know this, because I was a victim of anger myself. I thank God, the Lord delivered me. Anger may seem justifiable, but the Word says: “for anger resteth in the bosom of fools”(Ecl 7:9b).

Sincerely ask the good Lord to flush away every spirit of anger in you and he will do it for you. Fear and anger are two weapons the enemy uses to stop us from achieving our goal.

There is a reader of this message, goodness & mercy will follow you in Jesus mighty name. Amen

To grow spiritually entails daily meditating in the word of God( Joshua 1:8).

Have a blessed and fruitful week in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive the grace to practice goodness and mercy in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Ben Bassey, Iyobosa, Esther & the Beloved MOW family.
