Theme: He is not here: for He is risen!

Memory Verse:
“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay (Matt 28:6).

Beloved

We bless God for the power that resurrected Jesus from the grave. We thank God that our darling Jesus is alive for ever and ever. He is risen in glory. Halelujah!

A Brother sent me a message recently and correctly identified that you can never see the adjective ‘late’, being used anywhere when referring to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Every other person that has lived in the world and died, must have the adjective ‘late’ before their names to indicate that they are no more, except JESUS CHRIST.

The power that resurrected Jesus was so extraordinary that Apostle Paul wanted to know this power more and more. Hear him:

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death” (Phil 3:10).

This is indeed the power behind Christianity. This is the supernatural power of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This season, everyone should desire to know this power of his resurrection increasingly. Death could not hold him in the grave, against all laws and expectations. The power was so mighty that it caused a great earth quake and the veil of the temple was torn (Matt 27:51).
It was difficult to believe. It was difficult to imagine with the human brain/mind. One of his disciples (Brother Thomas) felt it was a joke. Hear him: “The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe” (John 20:25).Though he later believed on seeing the nail marks, but Jesus told him: Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:29).

Today, Jesus is alive to die no more. He says: “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Rev 1:18).

There are many believers in the body of Christ today who fellowship quite regularly, but there is no depth or substance in their faith. The power element is completely lacking. Having Jesus as your Lord and Saviour requires faith that is active. It requires boldness and courage. The power that resurrected Jesus has been made available to every believer. The resurrected Jesus Christ living in your hearts is the basis for this power. He is the embodiment of this power and he has handed it to all true believers. He says: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matt 28:18).

Once we have received the Holy Spirit, that power is in our spirit, hearts, thoughts and in our words. Let us make use of it daily. Through spiritual training, His grace enables us to align our thoughts with the thoughts of God through His words. Never use your words to contradict the written word of God. As a believer, show the world that Jesus did not die in vain. Any thoughts that you have that contradicts the word of God, take it captive to the obedience of Christ (2Cor 10:5).

Happy Easter 2016. It is well with everyone reading this message in Jesus Precious Name. Amen.
It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profit nothing ( John 6:63).

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , may you receive the grace to key into the power of resurrection in Jesus name. Amen.
Yours in the Vineyard of Jesus Christ. Ben Bassey, Iyobosa, Esther & the beloved MOW family.
