Theme: Learn to Activate your FAITH in God in Christ Jesus.

Memory Verse:

“…According to your faith be it unto you” (Matt 9:29).

Beloved,

Let’s continue to bless the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Let’s bless him who lives for ever. Let’s bless the Wisdom of God and the Power of God. Let’s bless the King of Glory. Let’s bless the faithful Witness. Let’s bless the One who has never lost a battle.  Let’s call him His functional  names. The Lord strong and mighty. The Lord mighty in battle. Let’s bless the Ancient of Days, the Way, the Truth and the Life. Let’s bless Him at all times. Amen.

Beloved, this week, the Lord is directing us to activate our faith. Have increasing faith in God in Christ Jesus. The word of God says: “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).  What exactly is faith? Apostle Paul explains faith to use in his epistle to the Hebrews:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report” (Hebrews 11:1-2). Faith is often explained as an active form of believing. Believing in action.  Faith is never passive. Hence the word of God says faith without works is dead: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26). Based on the word of God, we know that “without faith, it is impossible to please him” (Heb 11:6). Indeed, faith is one of the three pillars of true spirituality: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” (1Cor 13:13).

According to our memory verse, in life, things happen to us according to the level of our faith (Matt 9:29). Indeed, Jesus himself says if we have just a little faith we can command mountain to move: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matt 17:20). Mark’s gospel also affirmed this: “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).Faith is not merely believing, but acting on what we believe. The woman with twelve years issue of blood, did not just believe in the healing power of Jesus, but made effort to act on her belief after prophesying to herself(Please, note that she did not run to Jesus asking for prayer, as many children of God tend to do, she simply prophesied to herself “If I may but touch his garment, I shall be  whole”-Matt 9:21). When Jesus saw her faith, He responded accordingly: “ Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour” (Matt 9:22).

When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his own son, Isaac “.Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest…and offer him there for a burnt offering…” (Genesis 22:2), it was a very serious test indeed. Thank God Abraham obeyed. I often wonder how many men of God would have attempted to obey this command at the time. No wonder the bible says: “Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God” (James 2:23). This was a rare show of faith by our father Abraham. God was definitely touched, hence He reacted: “By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies” (Genesis 22:16-17).

Brethren, many a times children of God limit what God wants to do through them in their thoughts. Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). Lack of faith may lead to partial obedience which is same as disobedience.  Life is about knowledge. What we know determines what we believe. We become what we believe through divine intervention, when the beliefs are held firm and long enough. The word of God says: “But as many as received him(mine-as many as believed him), to them gave he power to become the sons of God …”(John 1:12).

Although education and life experiences help to shape what we know, but to a large extent, what we know is based on our  predominant thoughts. We can increasingly align our thoughts to the thoughts of God in Christ Jesus, by meditating on the word of God day and night (Joshua 1:8).

Do not let your faith be passive. Act on it today. God is a Spirit. Enough of seeking human approval or prophesy. Learn to prophesy to yourself using the word of God. The Scripture says:

“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:25-26).

It shall be well with you this 2015 in Jesus precious name. Amen.

To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God, with total fear of God. Train yourself yourself to be godly…(Tim 4:7-8, NIV)

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , may you receive the grace of increasing faith  in God as well as the grace to act on your faith  in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

A Call To Salvation!

If you have read this message by chance, but  you are undecided or have no clarity whether you want to give your life to Christ. I would encourage you to give it a trial. Please, pray this prayer with us:

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I confess all my sins to you right now. Please forgive my sins and give me the  gift and joy of eternal life. I ask you to come into my heart and life right now and be my Lord and Saviour. Lord, please write my name in the book  of Life.  I promise to sincerely surrender ALL to you and serve you diligently always from now on, in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen”. Congratulations! You are now spiritually regenerated and “born again” in Christ Jesus. We would encourage you to join any Word based Church of your choice. Please, be prayerful in choosing one. We would recommend the nearest branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33). We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).

One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).

Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
