Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Theme: No True Prosperity Without Righteousness.

Memory Verse: “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” (Psalm 35:27).

Beloved We bless the name of the Lord for His faithfulness and mercy. We thank God for the month of September, the month of safe delivery, fruitfulness, total restoration and complete recovery.

Unknown to many believers, in Christ Jesus, God is eager to prosper His true children a lot more than they know. Our prayer is that many true believers will come to this understanding and not allow ignorance and doubt to deprive them them of their entitlement.

Unimaginable prosperity is the promise of God for us in line with His WILL: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 2). It’s God’s desire that His true children should prosper spiritually, emotionally, psychologically and materially.

When you look at what is going on in our societies currently, especially in my country Nigeria, it is amazing and pitiable that people, especially young ones, can do virtually anything to make money, including killing fellow human beings. Fraud, stealing and different forms of corruption are rampant. We thank God for the new Government in Nigeria. Despise strict laws, all over the world many are still peddling illicit drugs (hard drugs) to make fast money. Yet, we do not need an oracle to tell us that wealth obtained through a sinful way never last. Unless God intervene, many of such people end up perishing with their wealth. Whereas wealth from God is everlasting: “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it”(Proverbs 10:22).

Although I am not a card carrying member of the Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), those who are close to me will affirm that I don’t often miss their major spiritual programs. MOW’s partnership and connection to RCCG has impacted immeasurably on me personally, hence I often use every opportunity to tap into the spiritual insight of pastor Adeboye, the RCCG General Overseer. I would encourage others to do the same. Yesterday, Friday, the 5th September 2015, I was opportune to watch part of September special Holy Ghost message on internet, as it was taking place at the RCCG Redemption Camp in Nigeria. The Theme was the Good News. I was strongly divinely touched in my spirit. No doubt the theme is very timely.

Truly, the gospel is Good News to man. JESUS is Good News to man. Every true and sincere encounter with Jesus must produce good news . I stand on the authority of the word of God and prophesy that before the end of this month, readers of this message will receive good news in Jesus Name. Amen. Remember, you have to come to Jesus in righteousness.

Often times, you hear prominent men and women of God asking their congregations to call on God is if God is only afar off, and not NEAR. God wants us to make our bodies comfortable for His Holy Spirit to dwell in by embracing righteousness and holiness. Apostle Paul asks:

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1Cor 3:16-17).

When Jesus Himself was answering questions, He said “behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21).

Beloved, though heaven is the throne of God, He desires to dwell in your heart and in your body. Your responsibility is to make your body comfortable for Him. This understanding will help you to relate to Him personally at all times, rather than always wait until you have the opportunity to “go to church”, before you meet with God in Christ Jesus.

God is in heaven, but in Christ Jesus, God desires to dwell in your heart as well, if He finds humility and contrite heart. Hear Him: “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones” (Isaiah 57:15).

The empowerment to create everlasting wealth can only come from God in Christ Jesus. Deuteronomy 8:18 says God gives power to His true children to make wealth: “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”.

You are welcome to your month of GOOD NEWS in Jesus Name.

To grow spiritually entails daily meditating in the word of God( Joshua 1:8).

Have a blessed and fruitful week in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer: There is someone reading this message , may you receive your Good News now in Jesus Precious Name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Ben Bassey, Iyobosa, Esther & the Beloved MOW family.
