THE POWER OF DECISION
Beloved, the most important thing in a man’s life is the ability to say no to evil and yes to righteousness: because the world is revolutionizing evil on daily basis.
The people of old did not have access to holy bible as it is in our days. Yet, some of them were able to distinguish themselves from being spotted with the evil that as popularly and often practiced in the world.
And it came to pass in those days, When Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: And he spied on Egyptian Smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.
And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
Even when Moses realized that he was adopted by Pharaoh’s Daughter, he decided to trace his origin in God, Believer’s should decide to live within the confine of biblical ethics.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of eunuchs that he might not defile himself. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the Kings meat. (Daniel 1:8, 15)
Where there is a decision there most be provision, and where there is a will, there most be a way and our Lord Jesus is the way the truth and the life, (Jn14: 6)
Moses rejected the palace’s vain glory and its materialism through quality decision in other to lay hold on eternal divine order for the emancipation of his brethren.
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called a son of pharaoh’s daughter: choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season (Heb.11:24-25)
Any exploits made on the platform of sin cannot last because, it is attached with a terminal or expiring date.
The prodigal son tried it, and was accepted of his father. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father I have sinned against heaven, and before thee.
And am no more worthy to become called thy son: make me as one of the hired servants.
And he arose, and came to his father, but when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion , and ran, and fell on his neck, and Kissed him. (LK15:17-20)
