Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Pet 1:4).
Beloved
We became spiritually born again, as “sons”, so that we may SHARE and ENJOY the Divine Nature of God in Christ Jesus.
God speaking through Prophet Isaiah says: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts (Isa 55:7). So unrighteousness is at the level of our thoughts. What do we do if we find ourselves becoming unrighteous in our thoughts? We should learn to take every unrighteous thought captive until it is obedient to the words of Christ (2 Cor 10:5).
What are some of these DIVINE NATURE of God in Christ Jesus. These include: righteousness, holiness, purity, humility, power, wisdom, understanding, mercy, faith, peace, sincerity, honesty, justice, prosperity, truth, integrity and love etc. LOVE is unquestionable, the greatest of the divine nature of God. Indeed, the word of God says “God is love” (1 John 4:8).
How can we share God’s nature? By spending time with Him in FAITH. Can a man stay very close to the FIRE and be feeling COLD? Please, answer me!
Jesus Christ died on the cross for us to REPRODUCE himself in us. He died to reproduce his health, purity, humility, nature, habit, righteousness etc in us. The Scripture rightly says that Jesus is our righteousness. No man can ever be righteous on his own. This is why Apostle says of Christ:
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Cor 5:21).
The Psalmist speaking through the Holy Spirit says: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High ( Psalm 82:6). The reason why true believers may not live their lives with this consciousness is ignorance: They know not, neither would they understand ( verse 5).
Truly, man is a spirit. In the words of Job: But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding (Job 32:8). The spirit man loves to be daily nourished with the words of God (Matt 4:4).
Prayer: Receive increasing grace to share the Divine Nature of God in Christ in Jesus Name. Amen!

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: ‘let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…’ (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another ‘in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…’(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to ‘seek first the kingdom of God & his righteousness…’(Matt 6:33). Righteousness exalts…(Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from bondage, and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus is the Truth…(John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers ‘kings and priests unto God and his Father…’(Rev 1:6). In addition, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers, using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will exalt his holy name (Psalm 46:10). One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have ‘gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge’ (Isa 5:13). Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health.
