The Hallmark of Christianity.

MOW-TS
Improving Our Spiritual Understanding
Theme: The Hallmark of Christianity.
Memory Verse:
“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Matt 7:12).
Beloved
We bless God for a new week in Christ Jesus. Let’s praise Him. If we should have a thousand tongues, it would not be enough to praise Him. Who is like unto thee, O LORD among the gods? Daddy, you are truly worthy of our praises and adoration. Please, accept  our praise in Jesus Name. Amen.
Brethren, a true Christian should not need any one to teach him or her that Jesus Christ is the greatest authority that ever lived on earth. His teachings are profound. If people within the Church and outside the Church would pay diligent attention to the words of Jesus Christ, this world would have been a holy place for humanity.
Unfortunately, many people, even within the church, prefer to pay attention to the words (thoughts) of man, which are often lower than His words (Isaiah 55:8-9).
While on earth, Jesus lived a sacrificial life and died a shameful death on the cross that we may be made whole, and enjoy abundant life. He says: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10b). The question is then is: are believers who “go to church” regularly enjoying this abundant life? Your guess is as good as mind.
The truth is that many people who go to Church regularly lack understanding of why they are there. Many are unable to personally CONNECT to God in Christ Jesus. Hence, they rely on others to act as their link.
In our memory verse, the Great Master is telling everyone to Do To Others As We Would Want Others To Do TO Us. Jesus added: “For this is the law and the Prophets”. Please, pause for a few minutes, and imagine that we were all living in world where we would treat others the way we would like others to treat us! Certainly, believe me, irrespective of our FAITH, this world would have been a wonderful place to live in. What do we often find today in our interactions with others: hypocrisy, pretence, dishonesty, deceit, disloyalty, unfaithfulness and manipulation.
Here are some of the seemingly hard teachings of the Great Teacher.
“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Luke 6:28).
“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell” (Matthew 5:29).
“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you” (John 6:53).
“And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also” (Luke 6.29).
Apostle Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, keyed into this understanding when he asked us to honour one another above ourselves:
“in honour preferring one another”(Romans 12:10b)
These are just a few of the seemingly hard teachings in the New Testament. Let us be honest and ask ourselves through self-examination and self-reflection, whether as Christians, we are putting these teachings into practice.
In most of our societies today, especially in my country, Nigeria, I often wonder why people need to go on television or radio to announce the favour and gift that God uses them to bless others. Am unable to reconcile their behaviour and actions with what the Great Master has taught us:
“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth”(Matt 6:3).
The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) by the Great Master has a lot of great lessons for us to learn from. A Priest and a Levite showed no compassion on the injured person, but a “sinner” showed compassion and gave support. May the good Lord make us compassionate in our interactions with others in Jesus Name. Amen.
Unfortunately, the spirit of manipulation has eaten deep into the hearts of many individuals and the church is not excluded. All I tell believers is to be careful, and watch out for manipulation wherever they are, even within the church, and learn to resist every manipulation with the word of God.
True Christianity is about righteousness in the word of God. Do unto others as you expect others to do to you. This cover the whole law.
To grow spiritually entails daily meditating in the word of God( Joshua 1:8).
Have a blessed and fruitful Spirit-filled week in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive the grace to  do unto others as you want others to do to you in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
A Call To Salvation!
If you have read this message by chance, but  you are undecided or have no clarity whether you want to give your life to Christ. I would encourage you to give it a trial. Please, pray this prayer with us:
“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I confess all my sins to you right now. Please forgive my sins and give me the  gift and joy of eternal life. I ask you to come into my heart and life right now and be my Lord and Saviour. Lord, please write my name in the book  of Life.  I promise to sincerely surrender ALL to you and serve you diligently always from now on, in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen”. Congratulations! You are now spiritually regenerated and “born again” in Christ Jesus. We would encourage you to join any Word based Church of your choice. Please, be prayerful in choosing one. We would recommend the nearest branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33).
We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).
One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9). We are established by the righteousness in the word of God (Isa 54:14).
Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
