The Ministry Of the Word.

Ministry of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality (TS).

Improving our Spiritual Understanding.

Theme: The Ministry of the Word.

Memory Verse:

” But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4)

Beloved,

This week, our focus is on the ministry of the Word. Last week, our focus was on the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Of course, we know that the ministry of the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit are inseparable because “the Lord is that Spirit..” (2 Cor 3:17).

The great need for the multitude of believers to avoid distraction and to stay focus on the word of God was realised by the early Christians, hence the need to appoint seven deacons to take charge of administration (Acts 6:2-6). Consequent upon this decision and action, the Bible says: “And the word of God increased…”(Acts 6:7).

The importance of the word of God in the life of a believer can not be overemphasised. We learn from the very beginning of book of Genesis that after God created heaven and earth, the entire earth was in total darkness, void, without form, and good for nothing, until God spoke His first word: ” Let there be light” ( Gen 1:3).

“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness” (Gen 1:4).

The first book of John tells us that there is no trace of darkness in God: “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

A major ignorance in the church of God today is inability to completely SEPARATE light from darkness. The word of God is light ( Psalm 119:130), but until the word of God is spoken by someone in good standing with God, nothing happens. There is so much power in the word of God. The Centurion understood this hence he requested Jesus not to come to his house, but to speak the word only, and his servant will be well ( Matt 8:8).

The Bible enables us to know that Jesus Christ is the Word, who was with God in the beginning and that the Word of God is God (John 1:1). All things were created by the word of God: “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). Brother Paul also corroborated this:

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Col 1:16).

Brethren, if we can avoid distraction and stay focused on the Word, the word of God will increase and true disciples of Jesus Christ will be multiplied. If you are in Good Standing with the Word, learn to speak the words of to yourself, to others, to your situations, and to other’s situations, and you would be amazed how powerful the word of God is ( Heb 4:12). If you learn to speak the word of God in obedience, nothing by any means can harm you.

God expects His children to speak His words to themselves: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” ( Eph 5:19).

Yes, speak the word only in righteousness, and those oppressed will be set free, those who are sick will obtain healing, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, those who are stagnant will begin to make progress and the dead shall rise etc .

Please, try to key into the ministry of the Word in your daily living. Enjoy the word of God. Have a Spirit-filled month in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer: For everyone reading this message, receive the grace to key into the Ministry of the Word, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to “seek first the kingdom of God  his righteousness”..Matt 6:33). We stress that: Righteousness exalts a person (Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from all forms of bondage, ignorance, disease and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus  Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev 19:13). We emphasise that Jesus  is the Truth (John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We avoid the dilution, misinterpretation or deliberate corruption of the words of God. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers kings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, aside from soul winning, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers with knowledge using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will be compelled to believe and exalt His  holy name (Psalm 46:10).
One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Indeed, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Prov 11:9).
Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?  (Jer 23:29).
