The Word (67)-Love (charity) is above all.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity ” (1Corinthians 13:13).
Beloved
Love is a powerful attribute . It’s often said that love makes the world go round. Love is not merely the act of giving. Love may not be easily defined or explained. As important as faith and hope are in Christianity, love is greater than both of them. Apostle Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit would rather explained love with negative attributes: “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil” (1Corithians 13:4-5)
It’s interesting to note that we can give ALL our goods to feed the poor and even sacrifice our body, but still NOT have love (verse 3). No doubt, love can not be easily defined or understood . No wonder, the Word says: ‘God is love’ (1John 4:8).
There are many ministers of God today who believe all they should do is preach the gospel in the comfort of their rooms or churches, while the rich brothers should regularly ‘sow seed’ into their lives to sustain them. Some would even quote the bible to justify why they should be given. What about prophet Elisha who REJECTED compensations or appreciation from captain Naaman after God used him to cure him(Naaman)-2Kings 5. Why is it that some ministers of God in our days appear eager to be appreciated after God has used them? Laziness is NOT the nature of the true God. I have read in my bible that he who does not work should not eat:
“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat” (2Thess 3:10).

Apostle Paul who wrote about two third of the New Testament was himself a tent maker. You can work and earn money while preaching the gospel. Love is a lot more than giving material or physical gifts to others, though giving is a component of love.
PRAYER
Father, please help me to understand the true nature of your love in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
