The Word (97)-Who are you?
“And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?…” (Acts 19:15-16).
Beloved
There is identity crisis within the body of Christ ( the church). Do you know your true identity? Who are you? Does God recognise you as His adopted son? Does the devil recognise you as a son of the living God( no gender difference in the spirit realm).
Christianity is about power. Without the power element, Christianity is a mere empty religion. The gospel is not in word but in power (1 Corinthian 4:20). However, before you can tap into the power of the Almighty God in Christ Jesus, be sure you are in good standing with the Lord. As per our Word for Today, even the evil spirit recognises the true sons of God. There are many people in the body of Christ, who believe they can hide and do evil. Some people are engaged in ‘secret’ sin thinking no one sees them. It is the evil spirit himself that will challenge you: Jesus I know; am acquainted with Paul, but who are you? To be warned is to be forearmed.
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” ( Romans 8:19).
PRAYER
Father, please, give me the grace to be outstanding in purity, holiness and integrity, so as to wield your power mightily in Jesus precious name. Amen
Father, we pray that righteousness be established in your church and in our different nations all over the world in Jesus precious name. Amen.
Father, please continue to expose every act of hypocrisy, pretence and evil in our societies and bring the perpetrators to shame in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
