Continual examination of your heart prevents backsliding. The children of God are capable of being led astray if they don’t watch and pray, Matthew 26:41.
The Laodicea church started well but became lukewarm in the process of time when they failed to recognize that they were falling gradually. They fell to the extent that Jesus Christ was kicked out of their heart but they didn’t realize it. Jesus Christ kept knocking their heart again and again but they seem not to hear and allow Him in.
Dear beloved, don’t be lukewarm; be hot and maintain your hotness through the study of the Word of God, meditation, prayer, fasting, fellowship, and self-examination. Do these frequently and you will not backslide. Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!
