Topic: Jesus Was Lifted to Save Us! – by Pastor Raphael

Text: John 3:14-15

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:14-15 (KJV)

Beloved, when the Israelites were making their journey to the promised land, they spoke against God and Moses in the wilderness. They said why did Moses bring them out of Egypt to the wilderness, as they would soon die out of thirst and their souls detest the light bread. God was angry and sent a fiery serpent to bite some of them, and many died (Numbers 21:4–6. God directed Moses to make a brass serpent and hang it on a pole so that as many as were bitten could look up to the brass serpent and be healed (Numbers 21:5-9).

Beloved, in the New Testament Jesus was lifted up on the cross so that He would draw all men to God (John 19:30). Therefore, as many as believe in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life. The only thing that will keep you away from eternal damnation is to look up to Jesus Christ to be saved. Beloved, there is no salvation in any person except Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Acts 4:12). Believe in Him and you will never regret it. Hallelujah! Glory to Jesus Christ!

My dear Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for my sin and giving me hope. I believe in You and accept You as Lord and personal Savior of my life. Please teach me to live my life like You and help others to also find You and be saved. Amen!
