“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
It is said that action speaks louder than words, therefore, God needed to do something to show that He loved the world. Even though mankind was a sinner God still loved His image and sent Jesus, the only begotten Son, to die for man.
Jesus is the God man; that is, He is fully God and fully man. It is the greatest miracle on earth; for God to become man to save mankind. The work has already been done by God. What man needs to do is to believe in the finished work and partake in it. Anyone who does not believe condemns themselves to eternal damnation in the lake of fire. Believing in the work God has done for us is a sign that we love Him in return. Beloved, how strong is your love for God?
