Welcome to November 2015. The month of double grace plus. Your month of fruitfulness and divine abundance. Happy new month. Happy new week. This month, the power of the living God will be manifested mightily in our midst and situations in Jesus mighty name. Amen
As we get closer to the end of 2015  by His grace, the Lord wants His true children to ask Him for ONE specific thing they want Him to do for them. Please, ensure you ask for something great, divine or spiritual rather than material  as material things are to be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
Many believers in our Lord Jesus Christ lack the understanding that they have to be specific in what they want God to do for them.  I have heard many believers say: God knows all my needs! Or God knows all what I want ! Very true! But the same God says :
“as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you”(Numbers 14:28).
Beloved, true,  God knows everything about you, indeed, He even knows your “thought afar off” (Psalm 139:2), but He has given you “a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist” (Luke 21:15). In Christ Jesus, God is always expecting you to daily use your mouth with wisdom. Am often faced with believers ingrained with the habit of diminishing themselves using adjective like “small” to describe virtually everything they are doing or about to do. You often hear things like:  “I want to start a small business”; “I want to rent a small shop; ” I am looking for small amount of money”; “I want to cook a small pot of soup” etc. I often wonder whether these people truly understand what it means to be a Christian(a king and a priest, Rev 1:6). Do they understand that in Christ Jesus, we are serving a very great God ? A very big God indeed, so much so that while He sits in the heaven, His legs are resting on the earth (Isaiah 66:1). Why can’t you tell God you want to start a very big business? Why can you tell God you are looking for a very big sum of money? Remember, as you have spoke to God’s ears, that is what He will do for you.
I cannot help but laugh in my heart when I listen to many testimonies in the church. Testimonies like: my salary was delayed, my father in the Lord prayed for me, God intervened and my salary was paid in full; I was unemployed for many years, a friend invited me to this church, the man of God prayed for me , thereafter I got a job; I had a medical condition that the doctor could not diagnosed or treat, the man of God prayed for me, and the disease disappeared. Beloved, I am not in any way under rating the power of God in Christ Jesus to intervene in any condition . However, I often wonder why most of the testimonies are materially focused. The bible says God is a Spirit. The works that often bring God glory are spiritual! Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”. I have never heard testimonies like:God asked me to sell all my possessions and give the money to the poor and I obliged for the sake of the kingdom(Luke 18:22).
Back to our theme for this week, what do you want God to do for you before the end of 2015. Is it material thing? Is it spiritual thing? When given the opportunity, Solomon asked for wisdom, all other things were added unto him(2Chronicle 1:10). Elisha asked for the double portion of Elijah’s spirit and he got it (2Kings 2:9-11). Esther asked for life and for the deliverance of her Jewish people and she got it ( Esther 7:3, read to verse 10).
Greed for material things made Gehazi and his generation unborn to inherit leprosy(2Kings 5:27); he missed the opportunity to receive double portion of Elisha’s spirit. Beloved, it is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profit nothing.
This is your own opportunity to ask God for something. Stop running around to fellow man. Go on your knee and cry to Him.
In Christ Jesus, may God give you grace and wisdom to KNOW what to ask God and how to make the best use of it once you have received it in Jesus name. Amen.
To grow spiritually increasingly requires daily meditation in the word of God, with total fear of God. Train yourself yourself to be godly…(Tim 4:7-8, NIV). Learn to meditate on the word of God day and night ( Joshua 1:8).
Prayer: There is someone reading this message , receive the grace to ask God for a spiritual gift in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
