Word for Today: Mouth and Wisdom

Word for Today: Mouth and Wisdom

Ministry Of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality (TS).

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding.

Memory Verse:
“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist” (Luke 21:15).

Dearly Beloved

Beloved, this year and beyond, the Lord wants us to pay extra attention to the word that comes out of your mouth. Many people in the church and outside the church lack understanding of the spiritual significance of our thoughts, words and mouth. The most important reason God has given us mouth is to ‘war warfare’ with it, even though eating and drinking with our mouth are important.

In our memory verse, Jesus promised to give us a ‘mouth and wisdom’ to be able to defeat our adversaries . Many people could spend hours talking, without a single word of God empowering their words. Talkativeness without the word of God leads to sin. The book of Proverbs says: “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise” (Proverbs 10:19).

Brethren, henceforth, do warfare with the word of God; war a good warfare with the word of truth. Life is essentially a battle field. Life offers you what you demand, not what you deserve. Do not just relax and be chanting that you are a winner, without being a fighter; only a fighter can emerge a winner.
Apostle Paul admonished his son, Timothy:
“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1Timothy 1:18).

You are in covenant with the ONE with all powers. He has given this power to you:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

For every situation that challenges your life, there is appropriate prescription of the solution in the word of God.

Henceforth , make good use of your mouth and the wisdom in the word of God.

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
