Memory Verse
“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion” ( Isaiah 8:18).
Beloved
The word of God enables us to know that every true believer is for signs and wonders. However, our thoughts and lack of faith could be a serious limitation. Some believers seem to believe that signs and wonders are for ‘special’ ministers of God. Many believers are not conscious of Mark 16:17-20; it starts with : “And these signs shall follow them that believe…”.
Signs and wonders are for every true believer. However, the believer has to maintain purity, integrity, honesty, diligence and be daily expectant. In Christ Jesus, God is at work. Many unbelievers would find it difficult to believe some of the works that God is doing through genuine believers.
If you have received the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, do not allow your thoughts to limit you any more. Heaven is your limit. The Word says:
“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you” ( Habakkuk 1:5).
To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).
Prayer
Dear Father, please use us for signs and wonders according to your word, as we praise you this season in the mighty name of Jesus . Amen.
